Title: Intro to FPP

Date & Time: June 4th 1pm -4pm

Description: Learn how easy and precise Foundation Paper Piecing is! In this class, we will learn and practice the basics of this technique by doing a simple Square in a Square block which will show the precision that can be had with this approach. We will then move on to a fun and stunning pattern called Circle of Geese that is sure to delight and give you a great sense of accomplishment. Once this technique is mastered, it can open up a whole new world of quilting possibilities for you! All patterns and foundation paper will be provided during the class.

Sewing Machine (Should have knowledge on changing the stitch length)
Universal Needle
Glue Stick (Elmer’s school glue stick will work just fine)
Add-a-Quarter Ruler
Small Pressing Surface
Iron (Some will be available in the classroom but having your own small iron is helpful.)
Paper Scissors
Rotary Cutter
Small Cutting Mat
Seam Ripper
Fabric Requirements for practice Square in Square Block:
3 Fabric Scraps 10” x 10” each
Fabric Requirements for Circle of Geese Block:
½ yard for background,
12 Different Scraps of coordinating fabric measuring no smaller than 5” x 5”
